How Kellogg’s is Helping to Feed Millions of Children

Before the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, 1 in 7 kids lived with hunger in America. New estimates show that 1 in 4 children in the United States could face hunger this year because of COVID-19.

We are at a critical point in time. Kids need our help more than ever.

Today is #GivingTuesdayNow – a new global day of giving in response to coronavirus — and our generous friends at Kellogg’s and their brands Frosted Mini-Wheats, Special K, Frosted Flakes, Rice Krispies, Eggo and Nutri-Grain, are teaming up with No Kid Hungry to make an immediate impact.

On May 5 – for every dollar donated, Kellogg’s will double the contribution, up to $200,000.

Your matched gift will help No Kid Hungry provide emergency grants to schools and community groups across the country, outreach to low-income families and push for policies that help feed more kids.  Just as important, you’ll help to sustain a long-term strategy to end childhood hunger.

Over the past seven years, Kellogg’s has looked for new ways to support, whether it’s encouraging their employees to volunteer, raising awareness by reaching millions of consumers through messages on package and through ads while helping us pilot new approaches to support schools though grants.

This year, Kellogg’s donated $600,000 to No Kid Hungry to help ensure kids nationwide were starting their school day with a healthy breakfast. Now, some of those funds are being diverted immediately to coronavirus hunger relief, with the rest continuing to support No Kid Hungry’s critical work in the months to come.

Thank you in advance for your generosity and compassion. And please stay safe.
