At Albertsons Companies, we believe every child deserves a healthy breakfast. Every day.

In partnership with our generous customers, we’re proud to be one of the largest contributors to food banks and hunger-relief programs in the neighborhoods we serve. With 14 million children in America not knowing where their next meal will come from, the need has never been greater than it is today.

That’s why we are so appreciative that Kellogg is donating $100,000 to No Kid Hungry in support of our Nourishing Neighbors initiative on behalf of Albertsons this September. Nourishing Neighbors is a charitable program of the Albertsons Companies Foundation, which is raising money all month to help ensure every child has access to a healthy breakfast. Kellogg’s generosity will help provide up to 1 million meals for kids during the 2020-2021 school year.

Customers can get involved by donating at Albertsons, Safeway, Vons, Jewel-Osco, Shaw’s, Star Market, Tom Thumb, Randalls, ACME, and other Albertsons Cos. stores. Each store is partnering with a local charity that will use these generous donations to fund healthy breakfasts for children in need in the community.

The ultimate goal is to put breakfast in front of every child, every morning, so that we can help them improve their health and be better prepared to learn in school.

This pandemic is a chance for all of us – as individuals and food companies – to unite. We’re thankful that a company like Kellogg, with its reach and powerful reputation, has partnered with us in this fight.
